Dr. Hauptman was born and raised in eastern Iowa. Her lifelong passion for companion animals lead her to Manhattan, Kansas (KSU), where she attended college with aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. There she obtained her Bachelor of Science, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University in 2007. Her interests are in companion animal medicine with an emphasis on preventative care. She and her husband stay busy with their three kids and their dog, Marshall. She enjoys spending her free time with her family, gardening, and traveling.
